Job Summary
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will design HVAC systems including air distribution systems, chiller plants, geothermal systems, and alternative energy solutions. Responsibilities include supporting project teams during design and construction, integrating mechanical engineering requirements, developing drawing and specification documents, attending client meetings, mentoring junior engineers, and assisting in business development. Required skills include familiarity with Revit, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in engineering software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis
- 7+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems for the high performing, commercial, industrial or healthcare facilities
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE), if eligible
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with applicable software including AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and other engineering analysis programs
- Knowledge of building, mechanical, energy codes and other design standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI, etc.)
