Job Summary
Lead the overall mechanical commissioning process for data-center projects as a Commissioning SME, overseeing multiple commissioning projects, ensuring adherence to commissioning standards, and managing the technical aspects of teams. Responsibilities include development of SOPs/MOPs, compiling comprehensive commissioning documentation and reports, conducting integrated system testing (HVAC, Chillers, CRACs, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, emergency lighting), coordinating with clients/vendors, and guiding the team toward a technical management role within 6-18 months. Qualifications emphasize 5-10+ years in electrical/mechanical commissioning, data-center/mission-critical experience, strong writing and client communication, experience with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures, and ability to travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10+ years experience in the Electrical / Mechanical Commissioning Field
- Bachelor's / Associates Degree as an Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer a plus
- A/E experience working in complex facilities or mission critical projects
- Previous Data Center / Mission Critical experience a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with Level 1-5 commissioning
- Experience managing commissioning teams and developing plans for large scale commissioning projects
- Experience with IEEE / ASHRAE procedures and protocols a plus
- Possess basic knowledge of systems design for various projects
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Open to 50% Travel
