Job Summary
Perform complex sub-assembly and final assembly of dry ice production and blasting equipment according to engineering drawings. Pull parts from the kanban system, build machine sub-assemblies, and complete final assembly within established build times. Shakedown machines to verify operation, troubleshoot defects, and perform final checks to ensure high-quality products. Provide backup leadership to the Production Supervisor by assisting with daily production oversight and workflow efficiency. Cross-train team members and provide feedback to the design engineering team regarding drawing suggestions. Conduct product and performance testing while maintaining a clean, safe work area.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2-3 Years of prior machine building experience, small engine repair, or automotive experience
- Ability to lead and cross train team members
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools
- Proficient at reading assembly drawings
- Troubleshoots, problem solves well
- Proficient computer skills for occasional operational tasks
- Available and willing to work overtime when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational school, trade school, or formal OTJ apprenticeship training
