Job Summary

Oversee skilled maintenance and repair activities for school buses, fleet vehicles, and public works equipment, providing technical guidance to ensure adherence to established procedures and quality standards. Inspect, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance on light and heavy-duty vehicles, including fluid replacements, lubrication, and complex mechanical repairs using diagnostic equipment. Maintain shop facilities, fuel stations, and related equipment while monitoring supply needs, initiating requests, and delivering materials. Prepare work orders, complete activity logs, and maintain records of vehicle maintenance. Subject to 24-hour recall for emergency situations requiring overtime or essential duties during disasters. Requires a High School Diploma, five years of relevant experience, and a Commercial Driver's License with School Bus and Passenger endorsements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • five (5) years of experience related to area of assignment
  • equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • Commercial Driver's License
  • School Bus endorsement
  • Passenger endorsement
