Job Summary
Lead Tutor to mentor a team of tutors while delivering high-quality K–8 math instruction. Responsibilities include providing 1:1 and group math tutoring, observing sessions and giving constructive feedback, leading training/check-ins, and serving as a point of contact for tutor questions. Collaborate with program staff to monitor student progress, address learning challenges, and foster a positive, collaborative learning culture. Demonstrates strong math proficiency, effective communication, and a growth-oriented mindset to support both students and fellow tutors.
Required Qualifications
- Strong math proficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience tutoring/math to K–8
- Leadership or mentoring experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience and empathy
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learners
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Availability to work 4-6 hours per day, three times per week, weekends preferred
