Job Summary
Assist the warehouse supervisor in daily scheduling, workflow monitoring, and report preparation. Direct performance, security, and safety issues to the Distribution Manager or take disciplinary measures. Move material handlers to various tasks, train new associates, and maintain training records and confidentiality. Troubleshoot orders and receipts through the distribution center, research unconfirmed orders, and interact with the Inventory Control Department. Act as the backup coordinator, schedule labor as needed, and resolve operational issues across warehouses and departments. Serve as the go-to person for questions and offer ideas for process improvements. Manage the checking area late in the day to ensure same-day shipping and run errands for supplies and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- Able to move/lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- Position spends 100% amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
- Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel)
