Job Summary
Lead Marine Gas Turbine Inspector responsible for coordinating ship training visits to improve Sailor proficiency in operation and maintenance of ship systems, developing training resources for ship systems and maintenance programs, teaching shipboard operating principles, conducting material condition assessments, reviewing maintenance and operating processes, and advising ship leadership on crew proficiency and program efficacy. Primary onsite work location is San Diego, CA, with consideration for Everett, WA or Pearl Harbor, HI. Travel up to 35% including overseas locations. Requires extensive Navy gas turbine experience and a SECRET clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive Navy technical management experience on multiple ships
- Extensive experience as shipboard EOOW on multiple Gas Turbine ships
- Navy Marine Gas Turbine Inspector with Navy surface ship maintenance processes (at least 2 tours)
- 15+ years supervisory watchstanding experience on warships or military auxiliaries with gas turbine main propulsion
- Experience conducting marine gas turbine inspections on surface warships or military auxiliaries with qualifications as Navy Marine Gas Turbine Inspector
- Active or interim Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one (US citizens)
