Job Summary
Lead Manufacturing Specialist 1 oversees frontline manufacturing employees in the winding shop for transformer production, with direct people-management responsibilities including staffing and performance development. The role requires leveraging in-depth technical knowledge in transformer manufacturing to execute policy/strategy, apply best practices in winding shop operations, propose solutions beyond standard parameters, and lead small projects with low risk. The position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliability and quality of production within a defined operations framework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED)
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Winding Shop in transformer manufacturing industry
- Strong domain knowledge of high voltage (400 KV & above) transformer manufacturing process
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
