Job Summary

Own the daily quoting workflow end to end, treating the process as a production system to instrument, remove bottlenecks, and maintain WIP limits for high throughput. Lead and coach a team of manufacturing engineers through high-volume decision work, building the bench and setting clear expectations to drive measurable improvements in speed and reliability. Build and run the team's operating cadence with daily and weekly readouts, defining step-level metrics to report performance upward and make the function visible to leadership. Partner with Sales on intake and commitments, coordinate with Supply Chain and Applications Engineering on gating inputs, and work with software teams to improve workflow tooling. This role is one of two Manufacturing Engineering Leads in DFM, dividing the team to balance load and hold common standards as Hadrian scales from two factories toward five-plus.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, operations, or a closely related technical field
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining and precision manufacturing, enough to lead engineers making manufacturability and cost decisions
  • Experience leading people or directing the work of others (as a manager, team lead, or project/process owner)
  • A track record of improving how work gets done: making a workflow, process, or operation measurably faster or more reliable
  • Strong cross-functional communication and comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Desired Qualifications

  • A proven track record building and developing a team: hiring, coaching, and managing performance at scale
  • Experience managing high-volume or queue-based work and the metrics that govern it
  • Experience in estimating, quoting, cost engineering, or a similar decision-at-throughput function
  • Background running operations as a workflow (process engineering, production control, program or throughput management, or similar)
  • A track record of keeping teams motivated through repetitive or transactional work
  • Experience in high-growth or scaling manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with data tools and building performance visibility (dashboards, reporting, metrics systems)
  • Experience partnering with software or automation teams as an internal customer
