Job Summary

Develop and improve manufacturing processes for precision machining, assembly, and special processes within EMO operations. Determine safe, cost-efficient methods that produce quality products while resolving process problems through root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions. Design research trials to evaluate processes, applying knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and materials while conferring with equipment vendors. Work cross-functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure new processes meet established metrics, utilizing lean principles to optimize workflow and equipment layout. Train production employees on manufacturing techniques to maximize yield and effectiveness, supporting schedules and driving productivity initiatives within budget boundaries.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution (OR a High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, technology)
  • A minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, technology
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology
  • Knowledgeable in GD&T, print reading
  • Knowledge of precision machining – including metal cutting principles, workholding, tool holding, and chip mechanics
  • Knowledgeable in CAD/CAM systems such as NX
  • Background or understanding of NC Programming
  • Familiarity with GE Systems such as ARAS, CAS, CSF, Interax, SSS, eFI
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions using structured methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), five-why, Kepner Tregoe (KT), etc.
  • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
  • Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training
  • Ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status
