Required Qualifications

• •Registration with the State of California

• •Good communication skills
• •Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions
• •Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• •Demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor
• •Category 3 potential exposure to blood/body fluids
• •Conform with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations
• •Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct
• •Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served (Child, Adolescent, Adult Geriatric)
• •Ability to assess data reflective of patients' status and interpret relative to age-specific needs
• •Assist Radiologist with imaging procedures
• •Coordinate area purchasing activities and stock levels
• •Coordinate Breast Cancer month activities
• •Coordinate preparation for regulatory compliance activities in the mammography department
• •Develop knowledge of PACS and mammography reporting system
• •Evaluate accuracy and technical quality of images procedures
• •Demonstrate and explain difficult or new techniques and procedures to the technical staff
• •Delegate responsibilities to designated staff members
• •Help coordinate work assignments and coordinate requests for imaging services and hospital routine
• •Be technically competent to perform all department functions; clerical through technical
• •Be technically competent to perform in a multi-modality department
• •Maintain adequate records
• •Meet expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies
• •Maintain mammography services in accordance with standards established by the hospital and with state, local and federal standards which may apply
• •Maintain patient flow and coordination of other imaging procedures
• •Maintain quality control for designated area
• •Operate imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated areas of the body
• •Select proper technical factors on an individual basis
• •Participate in hospital-wide quality assurance program
• •Participate in On-Call assignments and work schedule changes when necessary or per the needs of the department
• •Perform proper computer skills and show working knowledge of patient orders, status changes, patient charges, profiles and ability to transmit electronic medical record
• •Plan and evaluate staffing for the area and be aware of budget parameters
• •Practice sterile technique, know and use universal precautions
• •Provide radiation protection for self and patient
• •Recommend equipment modifications, new equipment and essential construction within the area
• •Be responsible for existing equipment and such contractual services as may be required
• •Be responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures
• •Transport and position patients
• •Willingly perform other duties and innovations as assigned
