• •Ability to assess data reflective of the patients' status and interpret relative to age-specific needs
• •Ability to provide care/service needed for Child, Adolescent, Adult Geriatric patients
• •Technical competence to perform all department functions; clerical through technical
• •Technical competence to perform in a multi-modality department
• •Ability to maintain mammography services in accordance with standards established by the hospital and with state, local and federal standards
• •Ability to maintain adequate records
• •Ability to maintain and meet expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements
• •Ability to operate imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated areas of the body
• •Ability to select proper technical factors on an individual basis
• •Ability to produce images under difficult or special conditions
• •Ability to provide radiation protection for self and patient
• •Ability to practice sterile technique and know and use universal precautions
• •Ability to transport and position patients
• •Ability to perform proper computer skills and show working knowledge of patient orders, status changes, patient charges, profiles and ability to transmit electronic medical record
• •Ability to participate in On-Call assignments and work schedule changes when necessary or per the needs of the department
• •Ability to maintain quality control for designated area
• •Ability to maintain patient flow and coordination of other imaging procedures
• •Ability to participate in hospital-wide quality assurance program
• •Ability to develop knowledge of PACS and mammography reporting system
• •Ability to evaluate accuracy and technical quality of images procedures
• •Ability to demonstrate and explain difficult or new techniques and procedures to the technical staff
• •Ability to assist Radiologist with imaging procedures
• •Ability to coordinate area purchasing activities and stock levels
• •Ability to coordinate Breast Cancer month activities
• •Ability to coordinate preparation for regulatory compliance activities in the mammography department
• •Ability to help coordinate work assignments and coordinate requests for imaging services and hospital routine
• •Ability to plan and evaluate staffing for the area and be aware of budget parameters
• •Ability to be responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures
• •Ability to be responsible for existing equipment and such contractual services as may be required
• •Ability to recommend equipment modifications, new equipment and essential construction within the area
• •Ability to perform other duties and innovations as assigned
• •Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area
• •Ability to conform with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations as required by the job, department, or hospital
• •Ability to demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor
• •Ability to perform frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions
• •Ability to adjust focus
• •Ability to close vision
• •Ability to handle Category 3 potential exposure to blood/body fluids
