Job Summary
Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained multifamily community. Oversees maintenance operations, trains and mentors maintenance staff, ensures safety and regulatory compliance (HAZCOM), manages service requests with 24-hour responsiveness when possible, coordinates with external vendors, maintains equipment and common areas, participates in budgeting and approvals, and supports resident relations through inspections and timely issue resolution. Requires CPO & HVAC certifications, on-site availability, and a rotating on-call schedule; full-time with occasional weekend needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or a related field
- Proven leadership and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of state lease forms, Fair Housing laws, and the Property Code
- Proficient in property management software (OneSite and/or Yardi)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Required CPO & HVAC certifications
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, including weekends, and participate in on-call rotations
