Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance operations for a multifamily property, addressing work orders, managing make-ready schedules, and leading maintenance staff to prevent issues from escalating. Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance across building systems, grounds, and resident amenities while collaborating with residents and the Property Management team. Supervise and train team members, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and safety procedures. Maintain a personal tool kit and travel occasionally to pick up supplies. Requires full-time onsite hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation including evenings or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant maintenance experience in property management or hospitality environments
- 1+ year of experience supervising two or more employees
- 1+ years of experience of inventory control, ordering, & procurement
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA Certification Type I and II or Universal
- Valid driver's license
- An ability to safely use tools and equipment with manual dexterity and stamina, including lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must maintain a personal tool kit appropriate for completing assigned work
- Must be available for occasional evenings or weekends
- Occasional off-site travel to pick up supplies
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a related trade
- Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems
- HVAC certification
- CPO certification or ability to obtain, if applicable
