Job Summary

Lead, administer, and execute a preventative maintenance program for production equipment while troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diverse manufacturing machinery. Coordinate routine and non-routine maintenance for all cGMP and non-cGMP systems, perform emergency repairs during production, and wire or mechanically assemble production fixtures. Diagnose equipment problems, read technical drawings and blueprints, and maintain proper equipment documentation and event records. Provide team leadership, assist facilities maintenance, and develop spare parts inventory to minimize downtime. Serve as the escalation point for equipment downtime issues outside standard business hours. Ensure adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures while interfacing with management and internal/external groups to resolve operational problems.

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Engineering field or technical degree/trade certificate
  • more than 4 years related experience
  • 3+ Years Experience in Manufacturing Assembly or Assembly Equipment with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair
  • 1+ Years Experience in a GMP and/or FDA regulated environment
  • 3+ Years Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Hands-on electro-mechanical-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment
  • Experience in advanced automated processes
  • Great attention to detail and commitment to excellence in review and work product
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports and records activities in the ERP system
  • Must have good mathematical skills, including basic algebra, to calculate electrical/electronic equations as needed
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions and have good verbal/written communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Thorough understanding of machine component design
  • Highly organized with proven time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to excel in pressure situations to meet tight deadlines
  • Applicable knowledge of cGMP regulations with respect to manufacturing and maintenance best practices
  • Ability to lead, direct, and coach other maintenance technicians

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with basic machine tools and fixturing desirable (mill, lathe, hand tools, etc.)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, etc.)
