Job Summary
Lead Maintenance Technician on a 3rd shift responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance, ensuring proper set-up of production machines and ancillary equipment per procedures and product specs; read and interpret engineering drawings; utilize Word/Excel and Maximo; adhere to GMP/ISO 9002/EHS requirements; perform paperwork and maintain maintenance records; manage hazardous waste (RCRA) tasks and PPE/Lockout-Tagout compliance; provide technical leadership, support unscheduled repairs, coordinate vendor activities, and train others; strong metrology and blueprint-reading skills; able to communicate effectively and drive improvements while operating on the night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology) or equivalent combination of training and experience, preferred.
- 8-10 years medical device manufacturing related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees in the organization.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to calculate rate and percent and interpret basic graphs.
- Basic Metrology knowledge.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to make rational decisions in the absence of supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of small hand tools and electrical hand tools.
- Must be proficient with necessary measuring equipment (Dial calipers, micrometers, gages, et.)
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
- Must have the ability to accept and work with constant change.
- Must be a team player.
