Lead Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift

Job Summary
Coordinate maintenance team activities and support services to ensure tasks are completed and projects are finished. Relies on direction from the department lead to keep the work area running on schedule while minimizing downtime. Ensure the work area and equipment remain safe, clean, and compliant with established safety standards. Conduct pre-shift meetings, monthly safety talks, and provide machine-specific safety training to all employees. Implement continuous improvement principles and lead initiatives for process and safety enhancements. Communicate with employees and management as required and participate in performance evaluations. Prepare production reports and maintain necessary records. Requires minimum six months to one year of maintenance experience and working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in maintenance areas
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology
- Working knowledge of welding
- Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Basic working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and species
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma GED preferred but not required
- 1 to 3 years preferred
- Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
