Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive maintenance on resident apartments and common areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and pool system upkeep. Perform make-ready preparations for vacant units and manage on-call rotation for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. Supervise subcontractors and subordinate staff while scheduling work orders and maintaining accurate records of repairs, inventories, and purchase orders. Handle emergency reporting for dangerous conditions and assist in property inspections and move-in/out processes.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification)
- Own a basic set of hand tools
- Valid driver's license with good driving record and auto insurance
- Ability to perform work responsibilities at other locations and ability to travel within major metropolitan areas with possible overnight stays in different cities
- Ability to work some weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
