Job Summary
Lead Maintenance Generalist performs all functions of a maintenance supervisor for a team of 10 to 12 hourly technicians, excluding payroll, promotions, or disciplinary activities. Conduct daily troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, water, steam systems, and electrical components while adhering to Tyson safety programs. Act as supervisor when the Maintenance Supervisor is absent, coordinate worker activities, and lead We Care-safety huddles for hazard recognition. Review SAP-PM reports for schedule completion, re-prioritize work orders based on plant needs, and provide feedback on data entry and documentation. Evaluate team performance, coordinate root cause problem elimination to prevent downtime, and attend daily meetings to report on completed work and corrective actions. This development position prepares hourly team members to advance to a maintenance supervisor role.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of Maintenance/mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
