Job Summary
Lead Maintenance Coordinator responsibilities include directing maintenance staff on campus, maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems, scheduling and conducting inspections, training maintenance personnel annually, coordinating inventory and supplies, ensuring code compliance and safety, and collaborating with the Director of Maintenance to uphold tenant care and operational standards. The role emphasizes accountability, compassion, and teamwork in interactions with tenants, guests, and staff, with duties spanning grounds maintenance, safety inspections, resident security systems, lighting systems, and responsive upkeep of mechanical equipment to maintain census and campus conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Four years education and/or experience in maintenance
- Possesses a solid understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical mechanical, and code compliance
- Possesses a basic understanding of safety and fire codes
- Boilers license preferred not required
- Ability to motivate oneself and work independently
- Organizational skills
- Able to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interest
- Maintains confidentiality
- Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English
