Lead and mentor junior machinists while providing training and technical guidance. Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery and conventional tools to produce high-quality parts. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications, then conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, optimizing processes for efficiency, and maintain routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in precision machining
- Hands-on operation of CNC and manual machines
- Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting GD&T
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting technical specifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of machinists
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with process optimization
- Experience with continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and simulation
