Job Summary
Conduct precision machining operations using lathes, milling machines, and other specialized tools to fulfill increasing customer orders. Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools while maintaining proper operational condition and aligning fixtures. Calculate dimensions with instruments and read schematics to determine material requirements. Maintain safe working conditions by attending daily briefings, using proper PPE, and disposing of scrap according to regulations. Communicate with supervisors to resolve production problems and interact professionally with customers and co-workers. First shift from 6am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA10 Safety Certification
- Other Safety Certifications required for specific tasks and operations
- Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed
- Ability to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively
- Ability to operate difference machines such as CNC and manual lathes and milling machines as well as punch presses and shears
- 5 years' experience as a machinist
- Interact in a professional manner with customers, co-workers and other trades
- Must have extensive working knowledge of current fabrication procedures
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel and/or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders to reach ceilings and other high objects
- Must be able to push/pull/lift/move 50 pounds repeatedly
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Must be available for first shift: 6am-4:30pm; Monday-Thursday
