Job Summary
Lead LV Secondary Engineer responsible for requirement capture, schematic design of Control & Protection systems for HVDC and AC substations, and for preparing detailed design documentation, single-line diagrams, protection lists, interlockings, and panel/CABLING specifications. Oversee testing and FAT witnessing; assist site activities for installation and commissioning; interface with equipment suppliers and review in-house/external designs; prepare BOMs, design calculations (DC load, heat dissipation), and technical submittals; manage a small project team and provide technical guidance. Requires an engineering degree in electrical/electronic engineering with 12+ years in EPC projects in the T&D, Power Gen, or Oil & Gas sectors; proficient in AutoCAD, Engineering Base, and Visio; strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in electrical or electronic engineering
- 12 years minimum experience in an EPC project environment in the T&D, Power Gen, or Oil & Gas industries
- at least 2 projects as an engineer responsible for the business
- leadership and mentoring capabilities
- experience with AutoCAD, Engineering Base or Microsoft Visio
- strong knowledge of HV substations and control/protection systems
