Lead LTA (Phlebotomist)

Manage daily workflow and coordinate activities for Laboratory Technician Assistants and phlebotomy students, distributing assignments and acting as a liaison between the Laboratory and other departments. Perform all clinical duties including specimen collection, centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, and processing, while successfully directing specimens to appropriate departments and maintaining 95% venipuncture success rates. Monitor specimen status reports hourly in Meditech, troubleshoot LIS devices, and manage pneumatic tube systems. Train new staff, maintain competency checklists, and ensure strict adherence to safety, infection control, and quality improvement policies.
