Lead LTA (Phlebotomist)

Manage daily workflow and coordinate activities for Laboratory Technician Assistants, distributing assignments and acting as a liaison between the Laboratory and other departments. Train new LTAs and phlebotomy students, maintaining competency checklists and recommending skill assessments. Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture, centrifugation, aliquoting, and labeling, while troubleshooting pneumatic tubes and managing LIS devices. Review specimen status reports hourly to ensure timely test retrieval and notify staff of unsafe conditions.
