Job Summary
Lead and manage the Lot Operations team to coordinate daily activities, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for auction and moving efficiently across the lot. Delegate tasks, monitor individual productivity, and provide ongoing performance feedback to meet operational objectives. Conduct daily inspections for cleanliness and maintenance standards, perform pre-sale quality checks, and assist with inventory management by locating, numbering, and moving vehicles while verifying VIN and data accuracy. Oversee equipment condition, assign cleaning duties, and ensure strict safety compliance during all lot movements. Train new team members on SOPs, safety protocols, and technical systems. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license that meets requirements
- Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to perform Light to Heavy Physical Work
- Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception, and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, and Machine Operators (including inspection) positions
- Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors, and dust
- Must be able to pass a complete background check
- Role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
- 3–5 years of automotive or auction experience
- Prior leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage direct reports and hold them accountable
- Proficiency with computer systems, inventory applications, and electronic devices used to scan and record movement
