Job Summary
Lead Logistics Specialist to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across the Gulf Cluster, manage transportation planning, customs clearance coordination, and delivery follow-up to ensure on-time material availability. Demonstrate strong expertise in Incoterms and ensure correct application in logistics planning, supplier coordination, and commercial execution. Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient shipment handling and issue resolution. Manage and support customs-related activities, including documentation, compliance requirements, clearance coordination, and resolution of customs issues. Drive logistics cost optimization initiatives by improving transport planning, selecting efficient logistics solutions, and reducing unnecessary freight and clearance costs. Identify and implement opportunities to improve transit times, logistics responsiveness, and overall supply chain efficiency. Monitor shipment progress, delivery milestones, customs status, and logistics risks, and proactively escalate delays or issues impacting operations or projects. Partner with procurement, sourcing, operations, and project management teams to align logistics execution with business priorities and project schedules. Ensure compliance with internal logistics procedures, trade compliance requirements, customs regulations, and company policies. Use ERP and related systems to maintain logistics transaction accuracy, shipment visibility, and reporting discipline. Act as a key point of contact for logistics escalations affecting project or operational delivery. Prepare and maintain regular logistics status reports for Operations teams and Project Managers. Support management reviews by providing logistics performance data, analysis, and improvement recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, import/export, or supply chain operations within an industrial, project, manufacturing, or technology-driven environment.
- Mandatory experience working in Gulf countries, with strong understanding of regional logistics operations and customs environments.
- Familiarity with trade compliance, duty considerations, and shipment documentation controls.
- Experience in Grid Automation, power systems, electrification, industrial equipment, project logistics, or related industries.
- Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems for logistics tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- This role requires 20% travel within the region.
