Job Summary
Facilitate food services for a supportive housing residence by preparing balanced meals, managing kitchen inventory, and coordinating deliveries. Develop and maintain a monthly menu in consultation with residents and the Program Coordinator, while also preparing dinner meals at a shelter site three days a week. Ensure all kitchen and dining areas remain sanitary, adhere to food safety regulations, and report equipment malfunctions for repair. Monitor donated food supplies using a FIFO system and retrieve items for resident pick-up. This full-time role requires ServSafe Manager Certification, a valid driver's license, and experience in non-fast food cooking.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a cook required or in a related role (not fast food)
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Current valid State-issued Driver's License, preferred

- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with a team-oriented disposition
- Must possess basic computer skills (internet and email)
