Job Summary
Oversee the jewelry department's daily operations by tracking job orders, managing deadlines, and coordinating with Assigning, QA, and production teams to optimize on-time completion. Provide technical guidance on cast cleaning, assembly, and repair techniques while mentoring jewelers, addressing skills gaps, and facilitating targeted training. Troubleshoot metalsmithing issues, maintain a knowledge base of best practices and defects, and advocate for staffing, tools, and procedures. Document job status, root causes, and escalate critical concerns to leadership using data metrics on throughput and quality. Communicate clearly and consistently with the team and broader factory regarding updates, R2Net initiatives, and broader communications.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years on the jewelry bench as a production jeweler
- deep knowledge of jewelry cast cleaning, assembly (soldering/ laser welding) and repair techniques
- Bilingual in Spanish
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year in a related role with leadership/mentorship experience preferred
