Job Summary
Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, maintainable software solutions on AWS, architecting microservices-based applications with Kubernetes for orchestration. Collaborate with product teams to deliver reliable systems while participating in design reviews to strengthen architectural resilience and fault tolerance. Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed, establishing validation standards for secure coding and automated testing. Develop monitoring and alerting systems to ensure comprehensive visibility into system health, while troubleshooting complex technical issues to maintain integrity. Mentor team members and champion best practices in software engineering and resiliency within the Markets Technology organization supporting low latency trading activities.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 10+ years of applied experience
- strong focus on AWS cloud development
- Hands-on experience building production-grade software in Java
- Experience with developing and deploying containers
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools
- ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems
