Job Summary
Utilize trouble ticketing systems to document and track outages and exercise sound judgment during escalations for the nationwide fiber optic transport network. Provide advanced Tier II and III support by remotely troubleshooting transport backbone equipment, sub-tending devices, and user applications, acting as the internal escalation point for complex persistent tickets. Interact with internal engineering teams, security personnel, and vendors to solve challenging issues while conducting risk assessments using ACAS and DoD STIGs. Configure, maintain, and monitor Windows Server Failover Clusters, McAfee EPO, SQL, SolarWinds, SharePoint, Red Hat Linux, and Exchange Servers. Respond to network and system issues by isolating problems with minimal disruption and react quickly to identify, track, document, and resolve immediate vulnerabilities. Provide after-hours support on an on-call basis, with an estimated 15% travel requirement dependent on mission needs.
Required Qualifications
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or above
- Top Secret clearance
- current SCI mandatory
- Estimated 15% of time is travel

- MSCA certifications
- RHCE certification
- Bachelor's degree in the Information Technology field and three years' experience or seven years' applicable work experience
