Job Summary
Lead IT Systems Engineer for SpaceX launch operations, overseeing a team of IT professionals responsible for implementing and maintaining mission-critical IT infrastructure. Collaborate across cross-functional teams for launch lifecycle support, provide liaison with Space Force and NASA, drive continuous improvement, and ensure reliability during critical launch windows. Responsibilities include coaching/mentorship, incident handling, preventative maintenance, and on-call support with travel up to 20%, plus ITAR compliance and security-clearance considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline and 3+ years professional experience; OR 6+ years of professional experience in an IT administration or IT engineering role in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ years of professional experience leading technical teams and/or projects.
Additional Requirements
- ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen or national, or permanent resident, or certain eligibilities to obtain authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
