Job Summary
Lead IT Architect for Life Systems, responsible for analysis and design of very large and complex systems and support processes to meet business needs; designs and implements very large system changes; conducts programming and testing; rapidly diagnoses and resolves production problems; provides thorough documentation; applies business knowledge to deliver customer-focused solutions and anticipates process improvements; performs project management for technical aspects of large projects and demonstrates IT leadership as a top expert in core areas. Requires extensive experience (13+ years) and a post-secondary degree in a relevant field, with mainframe skills (Cobol, Assembler, CICS) and Life/Annuity domain exposure; familiarity with LIFE-COMM, LIFE/70, and Documerge is a plus; strong communication, problem-solving, and independent, self-driven learning abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Typically, 13+ years of applicable work and/or technical experience
- Typically, post-secondary degree, preferably in Management Information Services, Computer Science or Math related field may substitute for up to 4 years of work and/or technical experience
- Technical certifications are desirable and may substitute for some work and/or technical experience
