Job Summary
Design and validate security controls for cloud and hybrid environments, including secure IAM/RBAC/PAM and Zero Trust integration. Support STIG/SCAP/ACAS security testing, review penetration test results, and engineer remediation strategies for cloud-hosted and containerized applications. Requires Secret-level security clearance (Top Secret preferred) and ten years of cybersecurity engineering experience with five years in cloud security or DoD/Federal systems. Certification in CISSP, CCSP, or CASP+ is required, alongside AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes security credentials. Located in Montgomery, AL, this role supports the upcoming Cloud Acceleration Services Business Enterprise Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Ten (10+) years cybersecurity engineering experience
- five (5+) years supporting cloud security, DevSecOps security, or RMF engineering for DoD/Federal cloud-hosted systems
- CISSP, CCSP, CASP+, or equivalent
- Security+
- US Citizenship
- Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
- Top Secret
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Kubernetes security certification
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
