Job Summary
Lead Intensivist position at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA with daytime flexible block schedule. Manage critical care patients in a busy ICU; create, direct, coordinate, and supervise daily patient care plans; conduct/order diagnostic tests and prescribe indicated treatments; refer patients to specialists and social services; work as part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team; lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response Team evaluations; oversee Advanced Practice Providers; participate in quality metrics and committee meetings; manage ventilators and perform central lines and intubations; ensure accurate documentation and billing for professional services.
Required Qualifications
- BE/BC in Critical Care Medicine
- Strong inpatient skill set
- Experience working with advanced practice providers
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Active state license
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- DEA License
- state Controlled Substance Registration
