Job Summary
Lead project work for clients by gathering and analyzing technical data to furnish design packages including instrument lists, I/O lists, specifications, procurement submittals, operation & maintenance documents, training, and related design documents. Specify, procure, and calibrate instruments such as flow, level, temperature, analytical, and pressure devices. Perform as lead instrumentation engineer interfacing with customers, maintaining effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers, and clients. Direct and check the work of designers and engineers ensuring all standards are met, while performing basic field commissioning and start-up of process control systems. Requires a Bachelor of Science in related engineering with three plus years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in related engineering field (preferable electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering)
- Three plus (3+) years of experience with specifying, procuring, and calibrating instruments
- Knowledge of all facets of process instrumentation
- Experience with PLC programs and operator interface software
- Experience with P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, panel layout and detail drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with Autodesk CAD software
- Five plus (5+) years of experience
- PLC configuration knowledge is a plus
