Job Summary
Lead Instrumentation & Electrical Technician at Air Products in Texas City, TX, responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, analytical and electrical equipment up to 13.8KV, leading a crew of technicians, developing inspection/repair scopes, and writing/updating procedures. Role includes troubleshooting and commissioning of plant instrumentation and electrical controls, working with PLCs, DCS, SAP/CMMS, and maintaining safety and environmental compliance. Requires ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs, strong organizational skills, and ability to mentor teammates in a fast-paced industrial setting. Travel is less than 20% with a 4/10 work schedule; on-site in Texas City facility with collaboration across Operators, Mechanics, and Engineering support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Five years of industrial experience working on instrumentation and electrical equipment
- Trade, technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field is preferred but not required
- Military training will be considered in lieu of industrial experience / trade school education
