Job Summary
Lead the assigned team of Instructors by planning group assignments, developing age-appropriate lesson plans, and coordinating participant activities in community and classroom settings. Deliver direct individual and group instruction to adults with intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviors, or dual diagnoses while maintaining constant supervision and implementing positive behavioral programming. Collect data accurately, complete program paperwork, and provide training to staff as needed. Audit files, evaluate participant progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to adjust programming and ensure physical and medical needs are met. Maintain a clean, safe environment and demonstrate good judgment during crises. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel locally up to 30%, and willingness to work within a culturally integrated workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California issued Driver's License
- Personal automobile liability insurance
- A vehicle available for use daily
- A driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Company's hiring policies
- Business Exclusions on automobile insurance policies are prohibited
- Employee automobile insurance must include a certificate of insurance verifying their policy does not include a Business Exclusion
- Willingness to travel locally up to 30% of the time
- Physical and mental fitness to work with participants who are potentially dangerous to self or others
- Willingness to complete a health screening physical examination that includes a drug screen and TB test
- Unrestricted capacity to employ Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training for use in difficult situations
- Meeting state personnel licensing standards
- Ability to successfully complete CPR and First Aid Certification
- Willingness to work within a culturally integrated workplace
