Job Summary
Oversee, implement, and deliver high-quality practical instruction and training sessions aligned with approved standards, dynamically adapting delivery to meet learner needs. Plan resource requirements for efficient course delivery and organize support as a second or safety instructor. Conduct practical assessments to confirm competence in task-based skills and lead subject matter expertise activities during course design, review, and modernization. Maintain currency of skills and qualifications while ensuring staff adhere to safe systems of work and risk assessments. Provide oversight through annual peer observations to establish competency levels and endorse delivery standards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in relevant technical fields
- Education/Learning qualification relevant to role
- Knowledge and experience to deliver peer observations
- Experience of delivery training/instruction in similar environment
- Ability and knowledge to plan course resource requirements, with experience of supervising a team
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience to respond to learners needs; professionally as a technical subject matter expert and educationally as a learning practitioner
- Experience to undertake practical assessment to confirm competence in specific task-based skill
- Proactively maintains currency and competence of skills, qualifications and experience in line with technical experience and role requirements, and teaching and learning best practice
