Job Summary
Lead Instructor at Aledo Child Development Center: plan and implement a daily curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. Responsible for overall classroom and supervision of children; observe licensing rules and center policies; assess each child's developmental needs; implement the approved lesson plan; communicate regularly with parents; maintain an attractive, nurturing classroom; ensure daily cleanliness and proper care of equipment; maintain professional appearance and participate in staff meetings and trainings; may work extended hours and handle physical demands including lifting up to 35 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Meet basic requirements of Texas Department of Health and Human Services/Child Care Licensing requirements
- Knowledgeable in the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of children
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in the event of potential emergency situation concerning the safety of a child.
- Must be coachable, competent, have high integrity, be detail oriented, creative, and nurturing.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work with a team.
- Able to cope in fast-paced environment.
