Job Summary
Lead Instructor responsible for planning and implementing daily curriculum to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child; supervise classroom; ensure compliance with Texas licensing and district policies; assess developmental needs; implement approved lesson plans; communicate regularly with parents; maintain an engaging, clean, and nurturing classroom; participate in staff meetings and professional development; and support other duties as needed by the Director. Requires ability to lift 35 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with a team within a childcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Meet basic requirements of Texas Department of Health and Human Services/Child Care Licensing requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in event of potential emergency situation concerning child safety
- Must be coachable, competent, have high integrity, be detail oriented, creative, and nurturing
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work with a team
- Able to cope in fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in childcare environment as a lead teacher preferred
