Job Summary
Lead Installation Engineer within GE Vernova Wind, responsible for driving tooling development for wind turbine installation from concept through industrialization. Lead a cross-functional team to define requirements, develop concepts, and create technical specifications for mechanical tooling and processes (e.g., lift beams, site fixtures). Manage supplier engagement to finalize design and manufacture of tooling, apply design for installation practices, and perform risk analyses (FMEAs) and safety/ergonomic assessments. Conduct design reviews, create design packages, enable regional/global operations hand-off, and support on-site validations and training of installation leaders and technicians. Strong emphasis on CAD/FEA proficiency, practical engineering application, and collaboration with New Units design teams and field/regional projects to optimize safety, efficiency, and cost of wind turbine installations.
