Job Summary

Oversee inspection activities within the Part 145 Repair Station to ensure aircraft and component compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and internal quality standards. Coordinate inspection workflows, verify maintenance documentation, resolve discrepancies, and support the Return-to-Service process to uphold safety and airworthiness. Direct and support other inspectors, ensuring standardization of inspection practices and mentoring junior personnel while confirming all inspection equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly. Review completed work packages to determine airworthiness eligibility before approving the return of aircraft or components to service. Based just outside Louisville, Kentucky, Aircraft Specialists and PrivateFlite Aviation offers comprehensive general aviation services including FBO operations, FAA Part 145 Maintenance, and Part 135 Charter services.

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification
  • Must hold valid A&P license in good standing
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in aircraft or component inspection
  • Experience in a Part 145 Repair Station environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in 14 CFR Part 145
  • Demonstrated expertise in Part 43
  • Demonstrated expertise in Part 65
  • Commitment to safety standards

  • Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives
