Lead, Injection Mold Technician - Swing Shift

Job Summary
Lead injection mold technicians, operators, and production techs. Directs team production efforts based on work orders and materials while mentoring members on processes and best practices. Provides training on injection molding processes and applications, identifies improvement areas, and applies lean manufacturing tactics to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Accountable for set-up, tear-down, troubleshooting, and minor equipment maintenance within a safe, efficient workflow. Makes recommendations for process improvements and accurately completes all required documentation. Report immediately any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor. Swing shift with minimal supervision required. 7+ years of direct injection molding experience and Paulson Training Certification or CMI certification required.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ Years of direct injection molding experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Paulson Training Certification or equivalent
- Certification as a Certified Manufacturing Inspector (CMI)
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
- Skilled at using basic computer skills to complete Work Order requirements and Verify Count Operations
- Applies knowledge of general safety and organization (6S), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Foreign Object Displacement (FOD) requirements
- Skilled at accurately and clearly completing all required documentation
- Skilled at using Lean work practices
- Strong knowledge of Quality and Environment Management System (QEMS)
- Can correctly select and accurately use measuring and assembly tools
- Must be able to perform duties from recall, written instructions, and visual aids
- Must have a good command of the English language relative to the work responsibilities, both written and verbal
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in manufacturing such as Manufacturing Technician (MT1), or an AA degree (or equivalent) preferred
