Job Summary
Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Enterprise Technology, Infrastructure Platforms line of business. Apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline to drive modernization and deliver infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities include leading workstreams or projects, designing and troubleshooting moderately complex technical solutions, collaborating with platform teams, documenting project details and runbooks, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to continuous improvement. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong experience with data center networking, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS), Cisco/Arista platforms, SDN with Cisco ACI, automation (Ansible, YAML/Jinja2), and familiarity with Python and DevOps concepts; AWS knowledge and IP multicast routing are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure disciplines and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in network architecture, design, and engineering within large enterprises.
- Proficient with data center networking products: Cisco NX-OS, Arista EOS, and Cisco ACI.
- Hands-on experience with routing technologies: BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
- Practical experience with Cisco and Arista platforms (e.g., Nexus Series, Catalyst).
- Experience with SDN and overlay networks: Cisco ACI, MP-BGP EVPN/VXLAN.
- Knowledge of switching concepts: VLANs, STP, VPC/MLAG, stacking.
- Familiarity with network segmentation and related technologies.
- Proficient in automation tools: Ansible (playbooks), data modeling, and Jinja2 templating.
- Strong documentation skills for technical projects and processes.
- Preferred qualifications: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
- Understanding of DevOps principles and network automation solutions.
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and cloud technologies.
- Experience with IP Multicast routing.
