Job Summary
Lead Infrastructure Engineer responsible for facilities engineering, physical infrastructure design, and implementation management across colocation sites for a world-class electronic trading platform. Drives space and power governance, validates against enterprise and ETS standards, and leads the ETS Facilities Program to ensure resiliency, scalability, and end-to-end execution of server and network changes. Key duties include translating requirements into floor plans and rack elevations, coordinating with internal platform teams and third-party vendors, overseeing asset lifecycle, change management, capacity planning, and ensuring security and operational standards while supporting multi-location site assessments, remediation activities, and tooling onboarding. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10+ years in facilities design/implementation with 5+ years in IT within banking, plus proven experience in systems, networking, and physical infrastructure in high-availability environments; strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience specializing in facilities design and implementation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT role within a Commercial or Investment Bank
- Proven experience in deployment of systems, networking, and physical infrastructure including space, power, and cabling
- Working knowledge of host and networking systems with strong technical fundamentals
- Demonstrated expertise in facilities engineering within complex, high-availability environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Confident decision-maker with clear, timely communication and strong follow-up discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure, client-focused environment
