Job Summary

Lead Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Architect responsible for designing, modernizing, securing, and governing Caliola's internal infrastructure, enterprise networks, cloud environments, and regulated systems. The role leads architecture, documentation, configuration management, and risk mitigation across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and multi-site environments, with hands-on execution and engineering oversight. Responsibilities include building secure, scalable core infrastructure; implementing and governing security monitoring, identity, access, and data protection; supporting GCC High/Azure Government environments; ensuring CMMC Level 2 compliance and alignment with NIST DFARS/171/53, DISA STIGs; shaping disaster recovery, backup validation, and business continuity; enabling secure AI tools and workflows; and partnering with engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, facilities, and program teams to embed security throughout the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate will mentor staff, drive security architecture decisions, and balance long-term architecture goals with operational needs, while communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, network engineering, cybersecurity architecture, cloud security, systems architecture, or related technical roles
  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal Government, defense contractor, or similarly regulated environments
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise network and infrastructure architecture (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VLANs, network segmentation, secure connectivity, high availability, disaster recovery)
  • Experience designing, administering, or supporting Microsoft GCC High, Azure Government, or comparable secure cloud environments
  • Strong familiarity with CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, RMF, DFARS, DISA STIGs
  • Hands-on experience with security hardening, vulnerability management, logging, SIEM/security monitoring, incident response (Microsoft Sentinel or similar)
  • Ability to translate business, program, compliance, engineering and emerging technology needs into secure technical architecture and documentation
  • Ability to mentor technical staff and collaborate across teams
  • Willingness to work in an environment requiring DoD-style security controls
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity
