Job Summary
Lead Infant Teacher responsible for creating a safe, high-quality Montessori learning environment for an infant classroom. Observe and document children’s growth, prepare and maintain curriculum and Montessori materials, guide children with independence and curiosity, and communicate with parents through conferences and the parent app. Lead parent-teacher conferences, participate in staff meetings and PD, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and collaborate with assistant guides and staff. Requires Montessori/early childhood experience, strong classroom management, ability to supervise children, and CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in Montessori or early childhood setting
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and staff
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and Montessori philosophy
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., actively supervise children indoors/outdoors, and meet physical demands of the role
