Job Summary
Lead daily routines and educational experiences within the Infant classroom, providing responsive care including feeding, diapering, and naps. Implement developmentally appropriate sensory activities to support infants' language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment. Guide assistant teachers to ensure consistency and observe developmental milestones to communicate regularly with families. Maintain required classroom documentation and adhere to all New York City childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Must meet all applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous professional experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare, or early childhood education setting
- Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
