Job Summary
Lead daily routines and educational experiences within the Infant classroom while providing responsive care including feeding, diapering, and naps. Implement developmentally appropriate sensory and early learning activities to support infants' language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. Create a safe, nurturing, clean, and engaging environment, guiding Assistant Teachers to maintain consistency. Observe developmental milestones, communicate regularly with families, and maintain required classroom documentation. Adhere to all applicable New York City childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Must meet all applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous professional experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare, or early childhood education setting
- Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
